A Message from End Times Messenger Gwendolen Rix
March 28, 2016
Good morning, friends in Christ Jesus. This morning I would like to ask you two simple questions.
1.) What is the first thing that you do in the morning when your eyes open?
2.) Did you see the river of trash within the nation of Lebanon? A literal river of TRASH?
These two questions are the quick talking points for this morning’s devotional. As I read Psalm 1 this morning the LORD of HEAVEN’S ARMIES put two images in my mind. The first image is the tree that is planted near the rivers of water that bring forth good fruit in a Christian’s life. Everything from the tree is productive for the most part. There is nourishment in the water that feeds the roots and there is a freshness to the air that surrounds it. Crispy sweet air because of the aroma of all the good plants that are also springing to life around the river’s edge.
Conversely, there is another river. This is likened to the river of trash and sludge that has plagued the people of Beirut, Lebanon when the government of Lebanon shut down the landfills. Due to the dysfunctional political scene there are health threats, possible water table contamination, bubonic plague, rats, anger, and public outrage. I don’t think that it could get much worse in Beirut right now. Oh, and I forgot to mention the massive troop presence there too. Incomprehensible to say the least!
When we are waking up each and every morning we have a decision to make in the light of the coming of our Messiah. Which river do we want to be planted beside? We can allow our spiritual roots to be fed by one of two different rivers. The first river is from the Word of God. It should be the mainstay of each of our mornings. We should open our eyes and immediately begin reading it in order to receive the nourishment that our roots need for the day ahead of us. The second river is like the one in the link below. It is a river of trash and brings forth a spiritual death.
Now if you are one of those people who are always saying they don’t have time to read the Word before they go to work, well then you have some serious repenting to do. And I mean serious repenting! (Get an alarm clock!) We cannot expect to coexist on this planet with the growing levels of garbage that are heaped at us and expect to be rapture ready. If you are someone that is constantly making excuses why you do not have time to spend in the Word of God or you find yourself saying that you lack desire to read the Word of God, you need to SEEK THE LORD’S FACE IMMEDIATELY! Probably right now would be a good idea.
How are you to be rapture ready if you are not reading the Words of the One who is coming to rapture (gather) you in the days ahead? How can you be receiving nourishment from the river of Living Water that springs forth from His Throne if you are struggling to read the Word? It is not a small matter either…Simply understand where you are at this moment and seek the LORD to help you get back on track. There are many blessings from spending time in the presence of the LORD and in reading His Word. If He is the Word and you are not reading the Bible, then most likely you do not know THE WORD Who is Jesus Christ. This is not complicated, folks. smile emoticon
The other river that’s out there is much like the one that is running through Beirut bringing disease and pestilence to the city’s inhabitants. This river is much like death and has nothing to offer but bitterness and confusion. It has a goal too. The goal is to swallow you whole and drag you down to the pits of hell where it originates. Just be careful which river is feeding your spiritual roots each and every day when you get prepared to go out into a diseased and corrupt world. If you are lacking the desire to spend QUALITY TIME in it, then plead with the LORD to help you thirst more for HIS WORD. He or she that drinks from the waters of our Living God will never thirst again! And that’s a promise with a capital P! The Word of God should not be a burden to us, rather a delight because it brings forth life. Wondrous life indeed.
John 4:14
But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
Psalm 1: 2-4
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall not prosper.
